Who makes Barum tire
Barum is a Czech company. His story started by the hands of the Bata brothers. They initially set up a shoe factory, before the First World War.
In 1931 they began to manufacture bicycle tires. Three years later, with the progress of the auto industry, they also started producing car tires.
After World War II, in 1948, Bata joined forces with two other tire manufacturers – Rubena and Mitas. The name “Barum” is the union of the initials of these three companies.
In 1993, Barum was incorporated into the Continental Group, giving access to research on new products and technologies for tire manufacturing. The company grew and the Barum brand began to reach other parts of the world.
Barum manufactures tires for passenger cars, vans, SUVs, trucks and agricultural machines. See more about the products on the official Barum website.

Barum tires review: This brand tire is good?
The Barum is one of Continental’s second tier brands, an option for those who want cheap tires. Consumers are uncertain whether the Barum tire is good.
Barum tires review are quite positive. Dry tire performance and safe driving are the most praised points for customers. The braking is safe, and the noise is low. The durability of the tire is also praised by consumers.
However, some Barum tires review warn of wet conditions and speed bends. Yes, we know that these two situations are the weaknesses of almost all brands, even the premium ones. But there are comments from customers who have had problems with Barum tires in these situations. So be aware of driving under these conditions.
At specialist websites, between 80 and 90 percent of consumers using Brillantis and Bravuris tires said the Barum tire is good and they recommend buying it.
Barum tire reviews show that the brand products are good, but it is not at the level of high performance brands like Michelin, Continental or others. It is an option for those who are thinking of putting a cheaper tire.
But if you have a more aggressive driving style (it tends to brake sharply, make curves at speed, etc.) or take the road regularly, it is better to invest in a second-tier tire such as Michelin, Continental and Dunlop.
Anyway, the money is short, it pays to buy a Barum tire instead of a remold tire. Incidentally, we posted a very interesting post with pros and cons of the remold tires.
Always remembering that to get the best out of your tire, some care is essential. Pay attention to proper tire calibration, keep the tire / wheel assembly balanced, and align the vehicle.
As you may know, the form of driving, ambient temperature and the type of pavement also interfere with the performance and durability of the tire.

Barum Tires: Available Models
Barum offers two tire lines. Let’s get to know them:
Tire Barum Brillantis 2
The Brillantis 2 is a tire model with good traction and excellent handling. The wet grip is average: Not the best, but not bad.
Soft and comfortable, the Brillantis produces a bit more noise on the road, especially when the tire starts to wear out but does not bother. The useful life of this tire is a strong point.
Barum Bravuris 5HM Tire
The Barum Bravuris 5HM is a low-cost high-performance tire that offers safe and comfortable steering. It does not reach the level of the premium tires, but in view of its cheaper price, it fulfills what it promises.
It also has a long service life, over 18000 miles.
The noise on the road is low, and the driving is very good especially on dry road. What could be improved on Bravuris 5HM is wet grip: there are people who warn of the risk of aquaplaning with little water from the road.
